Quick and Easy Beauty Masks
Don't you love the way your skin feels after an amazing facial or beauty mask? Here are some quick and easy recipes you can make right in the comfort of your own home. With these, you will know exactly what you're putting on your skin.
Here are some of my favorites:
1. "Hydrating Honey Oat" Mask
You'll need:
1 teaspoon yogurt (no flavoring)
1 teaspoon honey (pure honey)
1 teaspoon oats
Mixing instructions: Blend the oats until they are finely ground and mix in the remaining ingredients. Apply to your face for 15-20 min and then remove with water.
2. "Skin Tightening" Mask
You'll need:
One egg
Cotton wool
Tissue
Mixing instructions: Break and separate the egg yolk from the white. Use the cotton wool to apply a layer of the egg white on your face. Once dry, place the tissue over your face, leaving holes for your eyes, nose and mouth while placing a second layer of egg white over the tissue. Leave for 20 min, then peel off tissue and wash face with cold water.
3. Detox Bentonite Clay Mask
You'll need:
1 teaspoon of water, Apple Cider Vinigar or rose water
2 teaspoons of Bentonite Clay
1 teaspoon of honey
5-6 drops of lavender or tea tree oil or both
Mixing instructions: Take a ceramic, glass or plastic bowl, Mix all ingredients together until you create a thick paste. Add more liquid if necessary. Apply paste to a clean face and let dry (10-15 minutes). Remove by rinsing with warm water. When you’re done with your mask, make sure to moisturize and replenish any natural oils that have been soaked up by the clay.
4. Exfoliating Coffee and chocolate mask
You'll need:
1 tablespoon coffee grounds
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Mixing instructions: Mix ingredients together in a small bowl until consistency is smooth. Put mask on clean face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
These recipes work wonders when you apply nourishing facial serum as the final step. This restores your skin's moisture and helps it to lock in all of the nutrients you have applied.
We hope you enjoy these homemade masks!
