Post-Holiday Skincare Recovery Tips

After the holidays, your skin might need a little extra care. I know mine does! Maybe you overindulged a bit too much on those gingerbread cookies or stayed up a little later than usual. No worries, no judgment here—sometimes it's easy to go overboard!

But all those rich meals, sugary treats, and chilly winter air can leave your skin feeling dry, dull, and in need of some serious love. Let’s get back on track together with simple tips to refresh and revive our skin!

1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate 💧

After all the rich holiday treats and seasonal festivities, your skin may be left feeling parched. Dry air combined with overindulgence in sugary, fatty foods can deplete your skin’s moisture levels, leaving it dry and tight.

The key to bringing life back to your skin is hydration. Think of it as giving your skin a tall glass of water—it soaks it all in!

💡 Tip: I make sure to sip water throughout the day and use a richer moisturizer to keep my skin glowing. It’s a simple step that works wonders!

    2. Exfoliate Gently 🌿

Heavy makeup, rich meals, and cold winter winds can lead to a buildup of dead skin cells, leaving your skin looking dull and tired. Gently exfoliating helps slough off those dead cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin. Think of it as resetting your skin’s surface to create a fresh canvas.

💡 Tip: I usually only exfoliate once a week, but after the holidays, I sometimes bump it up to twice a week for that extra glow! Just make sure you're not doing it too much that it dries out your skin.

      3. Nourish with Collagen 🌸

Stressful holiday schedules and rich meals can impact your skin’s elasticity, making it feel less firm and youthful. And let’s be honest—sometimes we focus so much on our faces that we forget about the rest of our skin!

Our arms, legs, elbows, hands—everything gets hit too. You may notice dryness, rough patches, or even a loss of smoothness. Collagen is here to help restore that suppleness and glow all over.

💡 Tip: Incorporate a collagen-rich product like our Fresh Collagen Body Milk into your skincare routine to keep your entire body looking and feeling its best! It’s my go-to for keeping my skin soft and supple!

        4. Pamper Your Eyes 👁️

Late nights and stress often show up around the eyes first—and during the holidays, there’s a lot of both! Puffy eyes, dark circles, and fine lines can sneak up on you when you’re juggling family gatherings, parties, and endless to-do lists. Keep the area hydrated and nourished with an eye cream or a soothing gel to keep those tired eyes refreshed.

💡 Tip: Apply a nourishing eye cream (like our Ocean Caviar Eye Contour) daily and gently massage the product for better absorption. I never skip my eye cream—it helps me look refreshed even after a late night!

          5. Hydrating Facial Masks 🌺

Sometimes, our skin just needs a little extra pampering. After a busy holiday season, a hydrating mask can provide an immediate boost of moisture and nourishment.

💡 Tip: Treat yourself to a calming face mask no more than once a week.

          6. Soothe and Repair 🌾

Winter dryness can cause irritation and discomfort, especially during the holidays when we’re moving between warm homes and chilly outdoor air. Incorporating soothing, nourishing products into your routine helps repair and protect your skin from harsh weather.

💡 Tip: After the holiday season, I like to incorporate extra soothing ingredients like aloe vera for a couple of weeks to keep my skin hydrated. Just don’t go overboard—too many products can irritate sensitive skin!
