DIY Scented Candle Recipes for Christmas

- Essential oil: cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove
Instructions:
- Prepare your glass jar by securing the wick to the center using a dab of hot glue.
- Melt the soy wax flakes in a double boiler until fully liquid.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Add about 20-30 drops of each essential oil to achieve the desired fragrance.
- Carefully pour the wax mixture into the jar, making sure the wick remains centered.
- Let the candle cool and harden for a few hours or overnight.
2. Peppermint Swirl Candle
Materials:
- 1 cup paraffin wax or beeswax
- 1 candle wick with a metal base
- 1 glass jar or container
- Red and white candle wax dye blocks
- Peppermint essential oil
Instructions:
- Secure the wick to the center of the glass jar using a drop of hot glue.
- Melt the paraffin wax or beeswax in a double boiler until completely liquid.
- Divide the melted wax into two separate containers. Add red dye to one and white dye to the other. Adjust the color intensity according to your preference.
- Stir a few drops of peppermint essential oil into both colored wax mixtures.
- Pour the red wax into the jar first, letting it cool slightly. Then, pour the white wax on top, creating a swirled effect.
- Allow the candle to cool and harden.
3. Winter Forest Candle
Materials:
- 1 cup soy wax flakes
- 1 candle wick with a metal base
- 1 glass jar or container
- Sprigs of fresh pine or cedar
- Fir needle essential oil
Instructions:
- Secure the wick to the center of the glass jar with a dab of hot glue.
- Melt the soy wax flakes in a double boiler until fully liquid.
- While the wax is melting, arrange the fresh pine or cedar sprigs in the jar.
- Add about 20-30 drops of fir needle essential oil to the melted wax for a woodland scent.
- Carefully pour the wax over the sprigs in the jar, making sure the wick remains centered.
- Allow the candle to cool and harden.
